About

My Mother’s Table is about food and its relationship to family, friends, and me. It’s amazing how much we define our lives, and others, by the food we cook, eat, and seek out. This is my tale. And, let’s not forget Kaukab (my mother), whose table provided me with the inspiration to write this blog.

Why thank you, Melissa. I really appreciate that. Just took some photos. Waiting until 15 yr. old daughter is done eating so can help me upload. Nifty close-up shots of foodstuff.

Why thank you! Your blog is so nice to read. I pretend to be your sous chef and am the official taste tester of all your wonderful dishes. Is that too much information? I think Kaukab would think so. Some day, my hubby and I will come to take classes. First thing’s first. Three teens to get through college. A temporary inconvenience.

I really like how you’re tying in food with things you strongly believe in, seems to be a winning combination. Now I’m thinking of instrumentalizing my son some how 🙂

Thanks so much! I’m not sure you’d get the same enthusiastic response from Kaukab, though. *Yawn-Sigh*

Just discovered your blog. We also homeschooled–our daughter is now in college. Homeschooling is the best decision we ever made. Looking forward to exploring your great blog some more! The food looks fabulous.

Thank you so much! I just attended my second homeschool grad. ceremony (of the year) today, and they always (kids, parents, the ceremonies) touch my heart, so. Confirms for me that this, too, was the best decision for our family. Wouldn’t change a thing–no matter the struggles.
