Random statements about anything and everything which touches Kaukab’s world.

1. “You talk too much; no one gonna marry you!”

2. “How much you make?” (5 minutes into your first meet-and-greet.)

3. “Why you do dat?” “You no know how to take your shoes off when you come into de house?!”

4. “Oh, c’mon” Whadda you think I no know anyting?” “I no born yesterday.”

5. “Stupid people.” “You all stupid people.” (if disagree with her–about anything. Anything at all.)

6. “Dey all bums.” (referring to politicians)

7. “Yeah, a wife cook and clean for her husband.” “Don’t you know noting?”

8. “Why you no like my food?” “What a madder wit you?”

9. “Americana” “All you don’t know how to eat anyting good.”

10. “What I gonna cook today?”

11. “Yeah, so what! Whad dey gonna do? Sue me!?”

12. “You no need dat (bedsheet to cover with). It too hot for dat!” (drummer boy’s addition from when slept at Kaukab’s one summer night) It’s why he insists that we sleep anywhere but there whenever we go to visit her in Cleveland. Oh, the toils and tribulations!

13. “Go putta some lipsteek on you. You look seek!”
